• Highlights of the NEW Graduated Driver Licensing Legislation

NEW REGULATIONS FOR

16 & 17 YEAR OLD NEW DRIVERS!!

These regulations become effective on February 22, 2010

1. 16 and 17 year old new drivers must hold a valid permit 6 months before scheduling a Road Test.

2. Minimum driving requirements have increased from 20 hours of suopervised driving to 50 hours with 15 hours of driving after sunset . Parents must sign the new DMV form attesting to that.

3. Now new drivers who are 16 or 17 will only be allowed ONE passenger who is NOT in their family.
